Pay Range: $80k-$110k

*** Candidates with senior-level experience seeking between $110k-$140k salaries would be a better fit for 2 other openings (MFG Engineer III and Staff Engineer openings) we have in the Milwaukee area. Please message me directly if interested in the senior-level positions instead,

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related)
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
• Training in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, including Kaizen principles
• Experience with process evaluation, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, 3D CAD, CAM, and data analysis software for layout, flow revision, and tooling design
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Navision)
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and optimize manufacturing processes, work cells, and machinery
• Evaluate and document existing manufacturing processes
• Identify process improvement needs, recommend capital investments, and communicate justifications (including ROI and throughput)
• Design work cell layouts, revise product flow, and design tooling using 3D CAD/CAM software
• Evaluate existing tooling and fixturing for safety, operability, and efficiency improvements
• Translate technical specifications into CAD-based layouts and Bills of Materials
• Promote design standards, design-for-manufacturability, and cost-sensitive criteria
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including leading meetings and presentations
• Implement process improvements to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) in collaboration with relevant teams
