Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Designer, EIT to join a well established firm. This role requires advanced knowledge of Civil3D , MicroStation/OpenRoads , and Bluebeam , along with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local agency standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, project-level design experience, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project-related documents, including plan sets, detail sheets, and cost estimates for bidding and construction.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and partner technical staff.
  • Coordinate directly with public agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and project approvals.
  • Utilize advanced functions of Civil3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, and Bluebeam to produce high-quality design documents.
  • Manage individual project scope, budget, and schedule, and maintain clear communication with the Project Manager.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to CADD Technicians and Designers.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work culture.
  • Support team development and learn to build and manage project teams over time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • EIT certification preferred or in progress.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads, and Bluebeam is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with public agency design standards and approval processes.
  • Proven ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently within a team setting.
