Position Title: UX Researcher

Location: Onsite only – John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group, Urbandale, Iowa

Pay Rate: $46/hour

Position Overview

As a UX Researcher at John Deere’s Intelligent Solutions Group, you will lead and support user research initiatives for projects of moderate to high complexity. Your work will directly influence the design of digital products and solutions by ensuring the end-user voice is represented throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user-centered research using appropriate methodologies, tools, and protocols.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative research to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research questions, assumptions, and risks.
• Develop and execute research plans focused on ease of use, feature awareness, onboarding, adoption, and utilization.
• Analyze research data and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to product teams.
• Perform usability and heuristic evaluations across the product lifecycle.
• Define optimal workflows aligned with the product’s design philosophy.
• Ensure research includes representative user populations and personas.

Requirements

• Must reside within driving distance of Urbandale, Iowa and be available for regional travel to conduct customer research.
• 4+ years of experience planning, executing, and analyzing UX research.
• 4+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, software development, marketing, business).
• 3+ years of experience communicating research methodologies, metrics, and results to diverse stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience with technology and product development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to advocate for end-user experience and influence product design across teams.
• Experience in product discovery and experience metrics measurement.
• Familiarity with agriculture and construction equipment and applications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one of the following disciplines:

• Human Factors
• Psychology
• Engineering
• Information Technology
• Information Science
• Social Sciences
