About the Role

This position ensures all inventory items, as well as the corresponding documentation, are accounted for and transported between departments in a compliant manner. All discrepancies, package tags, and METRC work pertaining to interdepartmental transports are handled immediately. This includes monitoring, reviewing, and uploading invoices, manifests, and any other documents pertaining to the inventory transported. This position requires working directly with the Inventory Compliance Manager. As a Transportation Agent, you will transport in-process materials and finished products between multiple departments and facilities, as well as support ongoing work with processing items to ready for sale status. This position will also be responsible for ensuring products are transported in a manner that meets MA compliance standards, as well as proper use of METRC. The ideal candidate must possess a driver's license, strong attention to detail, and experience working within a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with security to execute compliant transporting of cannabis products between multiple departments and other facilities
  • Review all documentation pertaining to compliance and complete all data entry
  • Reconciliation of transported Cannabis inventories and integration between METRC and Leaf Logix systems
  • Uploading/monitoring of weight transfer invoices, METRC manifests, and any other transfer documents into the corporate drive
  • Assist in receiving, system processing, and allocating of wholesale deliveries
  • Produce product barcode labels for finished goods purchased from wholesale vendors
  • Stay up to date on all existing and new compliance laws specific to inventory packaging, labeling, testing, storage, auditing, transfers/deliveries, destruction, security, marketing, and retail sale of products
  • Assist with routine audits of inventory documents, and physical inventory audits as needed
  • Recognizes areas of opportunity that improve safety, product quality, food safety, productivity, and employee morale
  • Creation of Massachusetts compliant Cannabis product labels to include all required information listed in the 935 CMR Cannabis Regulations
  • Attend weekly Compliance Department meetings to provide status updates and reports, as well as discuss any changes in regulations or processes
  • Review batch documentation which contains all the product testing information to ensure real-time compliance and labeling accuracy of product specifications
  • Discuss errors directly with the ICM so any corrections can be made in a timely manner
  • Provide advice with process improvements to eliminate errors and reduce risk of contamination and/or compromising product quality
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOPs, and other applicable guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 40 hours a week required
  • Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
  • Open availability throughout the week as needed
  • Must be willing to commit to monthly audit schedule
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and METRC
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
  • Good organizational skills
  • Detail oriented, and good with numbers
  • Ability to follow written procedures, and monitor others for adherence to written procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in highly regulated industry, quality control, and quality assurance
  • Over 21 with the ability to obtain a MA agent registration card
  • Completion of state seed-to-sale tracking (METRC) industry training
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal documentation
  • Outstanding and professional communication skills

Required Skills

Detail oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and METRC.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in highly regulated industry, quality control, and quality assurance.

Pay range and compensation package

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
