Job Summary (Purpose):

The ACE Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing various special projects as assigned by the Group Director – ACE. This role coordinates and follows up through ACE Region Managers and is empowered to provide direction as needed. Acting under the authority and direction of the Group Director – ACE, the ACE Project Manager is authorized to direct special activities of ACE Operations Managers while completing projects and assignments.

• Recognized expert in propane operations with prior leadership experience in ACE or retail operations.
• Strong management skills to lead special initiatives within the organization.
• Excellent time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to plan, problem-solve, and provide innovative solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operations: Directs nationwide special projects for ACE operations. Represents management on special assignments without involvement in day-to-day business operations.
• Profitability: Reviews financial cost implications of special projects, recommending cost-effective alternatives to resolve problems or complete assignments. May review monthly financial statements and operational cost documents to ensure profitability.
• Asset Management: Reviews capital requests and equipment orders as needed to complete assignments. May oversee management and maintenance of ACE assets, such as tanks, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring service timetables, cost controls, and return on assets. May also oversee routine construction and maintenance work.
• Communications: Keeps the Group Director – ACE informed of all significant issues. May present information to the Leadership Team as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In-depth understanding and application of NFPA and DOT regulations.
• Awareness of competitive conditions within regional markets.
• Strong knowledge of cost management and distribution systems.
• Financial management skills.

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS in Business preferred, or equivalent management experience.
• Management experience in the propane industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams.

Working Conditions:

• Considerable travel required.
• Normal office environment.
