Job Description

About TrialX

Founded by two Columbia University graduates, TrialX is a clinical research and space‑health informatics company headquartered in New York City. From launching the first clinical trials app on Google Health in 2008 to powering today’s online patient recruitment and remote data‑collection solutions, TrialX is empowering every citizen to contribute to health research—here on Earth and beyond.

Our award‑winning platform has connected 1 million+ patients to studies. Trusted by 2 of the top 5 global pharmaceutical companies, leading CROs, and premier academic medical centers, we pair deep clinical‑informatics expertise with a culture of relentless innovation—including support for commercial space‑flight health missions.

Our Values

Customer Delight - We obsess over outcomes that improve patients’ lives and sponsors’ success.

Product Excellence - We craft secure, reliable, beautifully simple products that users love.

Restless Innovation - We hack, prototype, and iterate—never satisfied with “good enough".

Lifetime Learning - We read, test, share, and teach—growing ourselves as we grow the company.

The Role

Own the roadmap—and the outcomes—for our enterprise Clinical Trial Recruitment Tracking & Management platform as it expands into AI‑powered matching, predictive enrollment analytics, and personalized participant engagement tools. You’ll translate high‑impact problems into scalable features, lead cross‑functional squads, and measure success by accelerated enrollment and delighted users.

What You’ll Do

  • End‑to‑End Product Ownership – Define, validate, and deliver features across Clinical Trials Finder, Pre‑Screeners, Referral Tracking, Volunteer Registry, and Real‑Time Analytics.
  • Enterprise Client Discovery – Lead requirements workshops with pharma, CRO, and academic customers; translate regulatory and workflow needs into clear product specifications.
  • Outcome Measurement – Define KPIs (e.g., referral‑to‑enrollment rate, AI‑match precision) and use analytics dashboards to iterate for continual improvement.
  • Continuous Discovery & Customer Delight – Spend at least 10 % of your time interviewing patients, sites, and sponsors; run A/B tests and rapid prototypes during quarterly Innovation Days .
  • Data & Compliance Leadership – Use our 70k trials, 5 M+ searches, 500 k referrals, 350 k volunteer profiles as a sandbox while ensuring HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11, and SOC 2 compliance.
  • Cross‑Functional Execution – Lead an agile squad of engineering, UX, data science, and clinical SMEs; ship to production every sprint and present metrics in weekly “show‑don’t‑tell” demos.
  • Go‑to‑Market Enablement – Support marketing, sales, and account teams with product positioning, demos, and competitive analysis to drive adoption and revenue.

Why This Role Is Unique

  • Massive Impact – Your decisions influence millions of patient matches annually and cut enrollment cycles for the largest pharma brands.
  • AI at Scale – Work with a modern ML‑ops stack (Python microservices, GraphQL APIs, BI dashboards) and quantify model KPIs that matter.
  • Regulated Innovation – Ship bleeding‑edge features that meet stringent global compliance—a résumé differentiator.
  • Cross‑Industry Visibility – Collaborate with advocacy groups (Michael J. Fox Foundation, Let’s Win Pancreatic Cancer) and even space‑mission operators using the same platform.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of product management in B2B SaaS; 2+ years in health‑tech, life‑sciences, or data‑driven products.
  • Demonstrated success shipping complex products to large, regulated customers.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial operations or healthcare data standards (e.g., CDISC, FHIR, HL7).
  • Comfort collaborating with distributed/offshore development teams; able to maintain clear communication and overlap schedules across time zones.
  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML concepts (NLP, LLMs, predictive modeling) and how they translate into customer value.
  • Strong analytical mindset; able to turn data insights into product decisions.
  • Superb communicator who inspires engineers, reassures clinicians, and closes feedback loops with customers.
  • Residence in NY, NJ or PA with ability to be onsite 1–2 days weekly

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Experience with patient recruitment platforms, eClinical platforms, EHR integrations, or real‑world data products.
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, Part 11) or security‑minded development.
  • Hands‑on experience managing products with offshore engineering partners.
  • Startup or high‑growth track record; comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration

What We Offer

  • Competitive full‑time salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive health insurance beginning on day one.
  • Learning Stipend – Budget for courses, conferences, and certifications
  • Hybrid Flexibility – Focused remote days plus energizing in‑office collaboration; quarterly off‑sites.
  • Patient Sabbatical – One paid week per year to volunteer with a patient‑advocacy organization of your choice.
