Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Quail Hollow in finding a Part-Time Family Assistant for their family of four, including two boys, 8 and 5 years old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm (25hrs). It would be a plus if the Family Assistant had flexibility for additional hours during summer break, holidays, planned school closures, or when the children are out of school for a minor illness.

The best Family Assistant would be responsive, reliable, organized, structured, and maintain open communication. The role involves creating a consistent, supportive environment for the children while managing household responsibilities. Key duties include managing the family calendar, picking the children up from school, and transporting them to and from activities, assisting with homework and school projects, including purchasing necessary supplies. It is also important that the Family Assistant encourages independence by teaching the children to prepare for the next day and pick up after themselves. Before the children are picked up each day, the nanny will focus on household tasks such as organizing, children’s laundry, and preparing the children's snacks and dinner. The Family Assistant should enjoy engaging the children in age-appropriate play, such as sports, arts and crafts, games, and other fun and educational activities. Both parents occasionally work from home, and the children are accustomed to respecting those boundaries. This is a long-term position for a dedicated and proactive professional who can support the family’s routine with warmth and consistency.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Assisting with Homework and school projects

• Providing transportation to and from activities and school pick-up

Household Duties Include:

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep, including after-school snacks, and dinner prep for the children

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Rotating the children’s closets

• Keeping the children’s bedroom and bathroom tidy

• Sanitizing frequently used surfaces

• Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day

• Managing the family calendar

• Running general errands

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts August 4th

• Legal pay is offered at $27-$30 an hour, depending on experience
