Mental Health Therapist – Lead

Location: Sonoma County, CA

Full-Time (75–100%)

Compensation: $79,000 – $89,000 annually

We are seeking a Lead Mental Health Therapist to join our Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) Program , supporting individuals experiencing early symptoms of psychosis. This position plays a key role in direct clinical services, program outreach, and peer support—without direct supervisory responsibilities. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team trained by EPI-CAL TTA (a partnership between UC Davis, Stanford, and UCSF), and provide care in diverse settings, including clients’ homes, schools, and office environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop recovery-oriented treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy (individual, family, group) and case management for mild to severe cases.
  • Engage in community outreach and program presentations.
  • Offer family support and advocacy, including attending IEP/504 meetings.
  • Coordinate psychiatric care and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation per Medi-Cal/insurance standards.
  • Co-lead bi-weekly evening multi-family groups.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Participate in regular supervision, clinical consultations, and team meetings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatrists, family specialists, peer support).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, quality assurance, and ethical standards.
  • Manage a caseload of 15–20 clients, meeting monthly direct service expectations (63%).

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and registration/licensure as one of the following:
  • AMFT / LMFT
  • ASW / LCSW
  • APCC / LPCC
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) fluency preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in CHRp, FEP, or CSC programs.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Familiarity with community resources and Medi-Cal documentation standards is a plus.
