Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing Pain Management team! Position Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent written skills, strong attention to detail. Must have strong customer service bases attitude and ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively. Possess a sound understanding of Medical Assisting responsibilities, including charting, rooming patients, chart preparation, and pain management procedures and orders.

Position Duties: Including, but not limited to:

  •  As a Medical Assistant of our practice, you will be responsible for providing and assisting the provider with clinical documentation necessary during a clinical visit under the direct supervision of the provider 
  • Maintain working knowledge of common medications, including dosages and indications
  • Assist with in-office injections when needed
  • Maintain back office logs/autoclave
  • Ensures provider completes all steps of discharge process
  • Ability to navigate EHR to retrieve and enter documentation
  •  Assist back-office patient check out.
  • Assist provider with note prep/review at check out
  • Outgoing referral to specialists, completing orders for imaging, etc.
  • Assist with add-ons chart prep for next day (prepare for week and check add-ons) Imaging, referring provider notes, scans, etc.
  • Triage calls
  • Transfer patient to receptionist or procedure scheduler for next visit scheduling
  • Complete urine drug screens
  • Scanning, assign into EMR, verify all chart notes H & P
  • Maintains clean and orderly back office area
  • Performs others related duties as assigned
  • Provides assistance to team members, physicians, and anesthesia personnel as needed (i.e. reliability, initiative, work relations, training needs)
