Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patients to exam rooms, preparing them for their visit and ensuring comfort throughout the appointment.
• Accurately document patient histories, including current medications, in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Act as a clinical scribe during consultations, transcribing provider notes clearly and promptly.
• Provide hands-on support during dermatological and cosmetic procedures such as biopsies, sutures, excisions, and laser treatments.
• Collect and prepare lab and pathology specimens, communicate test results to patients as instructed, and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Maintain clean, well-organized, and fully stocked exam rooms at all times.
• Perform instrument sterilization and help ensure cleanliness in the lab and procedure areas.
• Offer additional clinical and administrative assistance to help uphold high standards of patient care and operational flow.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting required.
• Background in dermatology or cosmetic dermatologic procedures is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a must.
