Career Opportunity: Associate Program Management

We are seeking an Associate Program Management that will be responsible for responsible for directing all phases of programs from inception through completion. You will drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. This is an entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge. The position will work under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. You will communicate with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Finally, you will contribute to system and process changes in work routines and work to achieve operational targets that impact team results.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
  • Expands the product line with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
  • You will work independently under regular direction and guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgement and initiative. Standard processes are provided, and peer review may be required.
  • Less guidance and direction provided as proficiency increases. May provide guidance and assistance to support level employees.
  • Communicates with contacts typically within own team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
  • Work consists of less-routine tasks in contribution to changes in systems and processes to solve problems.
  • May be required to apply discretion within identified boundaries and procedures. Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized.
  • Expected to propose solutions to problems for others review.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
  • Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects or task-related activities.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge of program management.

Job type: Full-time, exempt. US Citizenship is required.

In-office job role: 100% on-site, in Chatsworth, CA – not remote.

Pay Range: $77,000-$129,500
