What To Expect Day To Day

Camlin Energy has an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in a Field Service Technician position, based in South East America Region within the Global Services Department.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Representing Camlin, by ensuring the customer comes first, and that field projects are maintained on track and supported in a professional manner whilst delivering excellent levels of customer service.
  • Ensures compliance with Camlin Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Undertakes and regularly updates all training associated with the role inc external mandatory H&S training as directed.
  • Completes training on the Installation / Commissioning and general servicing of standard HV products to be installed regionally within Northern America.
  • Working within live sub-stations and network facilities, primarily within the designated region.
  • Installation and commissioning of standard HV products.
  • General service and maintenance duties involving the standard HV products.
  • Reports to Field Service Manager on works carried out, work orders and service appointments.
  • Compiles and issues reports on works carried out to the Operational Officer.
  • Maintain constant communication with Field and Operational functions, enabling efficient & timely planning and scheduling of works.
  • Communicates and aligns with the wider team, reporting on customer satisfaction throughout inc post works.
  • Supports the non-conformance chain of issues within field projects, applying critical thinking skills, working with customer support to ensure relevant feedback and details are received and passed on for verification and analysis.
  • Undertake other such duties that are required, commensurate with the role.
  • Up to 70% travel may be required to carry out duties as assigned

What You Will Need To Succeed

  • A positive, can-do attitude, keen to learn and develop your skills.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • IT proficient with good documentation management
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A willingness to work additional hours and the flexibility to work weekends as required; must be able to travel within the specified region and possibly to other customer locations as and when required, therefore a current passport and driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Electrical / mechanical engineering or similar relevant qualification OR 5 years Field Experience in a similar role.

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience with communication protocols and carriers
  • Previous experience with Software and Hardware Solutions
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking.
  • Previous experience directly interfacing with customers to deliver satisfactory outcomes.
