Responsibilities
Support and assist Construction Project Manager responsible for all project phases including marketing, estimating, scheduling, contracts, cost control, field coordination and project close-out.
Support construction phase responsibilities include assist in negotiating and writing subcontract documents, coordinating and maintaining submittal schedules, management and implementation of the project schedule, maintaining the RFI and change order logs and insuring all information is current and changes are priced in a timely manner, reviewing change order pricing prior to Owner submission. Will at times assist in maintaining meeting minutes and project schedule by working closely with project superintendent. Make sure all project specifications are adhered to strictly. Assist in develop billing schedule of values to meet monthly billing goals. Assist as required to ensure all punch list items are complete and all final project close-out documentation is delivered to the Owner.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (ideal, not required)
Experience: 2 years of Project Engineer experience, preferably with a general contractor firm.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore or similar), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and basic knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Knowledge of Construction Processes: Understanding construction methods, codes, materials, and quality assurance processes.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, think critically, and provide practical solutions to project challenges.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and organization to manage complex project documentation and track project milestones.
Safety Consciousness: A commitment to upholding safety standards and ensuring safe working conditions on the job site.
