The Opportunity:

A respected, South Florida-based general contractor is seeking a strategic and highly experienced Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts across a diverse portfolio of high-end commercial, hospitality, and residential projects. With a 20+ year history of delivering iconic spaces across Miami’s skyline—from luxury towers to premier venues and fine dining experiences—this is a rare opportunity to take the lead at a company where precision, quality, and long-term relationships are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimating department and oversee all cost planning activities across multiple sectors, including hospitality, multi-family, high-end residential, retail, and entertainment
• Prepare and manage detailed estimates for hard bids, negotiated contracts, and design-build projects
• Develop and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships across the region
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and preconstruction staff
• Analyse drawings and specifications, prepare scope reviews, and lead value engineering efforts
• Participate in strategy meetings, bid reviews, and client-facing presentations
• Collaborate closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership

What You Bring:

✔️ 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience

✔️ At least 3 years leading or managing an estimating team

✔️ Proven track record with high-value projects, ideally in hospitality, multi-family, and interior fit-outs

✔️ Strong relationships with South Florida subcontractors and suppliers

✔️ Proficiency in industry tools: PlanSwift, OST, Bluebeam, Procore

✔️ Strategic thinker, strong communicator, detail-oriented leader
